For weeks following the Oscars, legions of Lupita fans waited anxiously for news of the starlet to snag a beauty contract (we’ve been waiting to hear if Nyong’o had any major movie roles lined up, but we’ll gladly have our dessert now before the main course). And thanks to WWD, she has a new role: the newest face for French makeup and skin care monolith Lancôme. I love when black actresses share their favorite beauty products…and this year, besides learning about her love for face oils, Lupita Nyong’o revealed her go-to lip balm. Shortly after delivering an eloquent, heart-wrenching speech for her Best Supporting Actress win, Nyong’o found herself badgered by none other than Ellen Degeneres. The Oscar host strolled the aisles with Pharrell’s famous Vivienne Westwood Mountain hat, hounding various A-listers for pizza money and tips.
