SINGLE Taraji Dress Worn by Cookie Lyon

Cookie Lyon stunned in a 2015 SINGLE “Taraji” Dress in “False Imposition.” This dress is the latest look in Empire‘s “Cookie’s Closet” album.

The brand’s print wrap dress features a red, white and black cheetah/leopard pattern. Other highlights include open flowing sleeves with strategic slits, caped back, and a flouncy skirt. It’s very reminiscent of a DVF frock, no?

This is one of the things I love about Empire: the costume designer Rita McGhee not only sticks to the more popular designer brands but also includes more moderately known lines into Cookie’s wardrobe.

Before the latest episode aired, I was not familiar with the SINGLE by Galina Sobolev line but Angela Simmons, Brandy, Melanie Brown and Michelle Williams have all worn SINGLE pieces in the past.

According to WWD.com, "About 50 women contacted Galina Sobolev the day after they saw Henson slink around in a red animal-print silk chiffon dress from Single’s archives on the show. First sold seven years ago for $387, the dress stirred so much interest that Sobolev revived it this fall in a limited run of 80 (and renamed it the "Taraji Dress."
