Orange is the New Black star Uzo Aduba was one of Saturday’s biggest winners at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards. She nabbed “Guest Actress in a Comedy Series” for the uber-popular Netflix series (I kid you not, this whole “guest actress” business is throwing me for a loop though). For her big day, she enlisted the help of dynamic duo celebrity hairstylist Jamika Wilson and celebrity makeup artist Jessica Smalls. And doing what I do best, here is how you can get her exact makeup look!

Uzo Aduba by Jessica Smalls: Morphe Brushes, MAC Cosmetics, NYX Cosmetics, House of Lashes, Cargo Cosmetics, Smashbox Cosmetics, Sisley USA, OCC Makeup, Make Up For Ever, and Black Opal Beauty

The following beauty breakdown was edited for clarity. ~LA

“On Uzo Aduba, I prepped her skin with Sisley Black Rose Precious Face Oil, adding a few drops of liquid bronzer to the mix. I then applied Smashbox ‘Photo Finish’ Light Foundation Primer and used Black Opal True Color Stick Foundation SPF 15 in Hazelnut and Suede Mocha on the outer perimeter of her face. To highlight and brighten under her eyes, I used Cargo Cosmetics One Base Concealer in 045 and 05. I set everything with Makeup Forever Super Matte Loose Powder in Caramel. On her eyes, I used NYX Baked Eyeshadow in Ambrosia all over her lid and a dark brown color in the outer corners. I filled in her brows and set with a bit of MAC Brow Set in Girl Boy. I rimmed her waterline with black eyeliner and to make her eyes pop, I used House of Lashes in Temptress. I used Homeoplasmine to hydrate her lips. Next, I lined them with MAC Lip Liner in Vino and used OCC Makeup Lip Tar Metallic in Black Metal Dahlia.” Her weapons of choice were Morphe Brushes.

Hailed as a “must in your brush arsenal”, Jessica gushed about their Deluxe Buffer Brush (m439). She revealed, ” I used this brush on my client Uzo Aduba for the Creative Arts Emmy awards and it buffed the foundation into her skin, with the most amazing airbrushed finish.”

Uzo Aduba by Elsbeth Schuetz: Nailtini

New information! I was perusing my Instagram feed, looking for celebrity beauty tidbits for the blog when I learned Nailtini celebrity manicurist Elsbeth Schuetz hooked up the Emmy winner for a big night. The brand sent out the following statement:

Saturday night was a HUGE night for Emmy winner Uzo Aduba. The first of Netflix series “Orange is the New Black” to nab a statuette, Uzo wanted to look flawless. And that she did.

With a power prep team that included stylist Cristina Ehrlich, makeup artist Jessica Smalls, and hair expert Jamika Wilson, Uzo wanted her hands and feet to be just as perfectly polished so she enlisted Nailtini Celebrity Manicurist Elsbeth Schuetz to make sure they were.

Wanting a natural feel that would pair well with Uzo’s simple and elegant look, Elsbeth opted for Nailtini’s ultra-sheer shell pink nail lacquer “Frappe” on Uzo’s hands and  Nailtini’s creamy caramel “Irish Crème” for toes, which Elsbeth says are “two nude shades that really compliment darker skin tones.”
