Parris Island, South Carolina. This is where I was originally supposed to go after I completed Navy Hospital Corps A School but as it turned out, my orders were amended. At the time, I felt relieved because I didn't think I would've been able to handle it but everyone kept saying that my unit wouldn't have let me fail. Then of course, there were stories of the female Corpsmen hooking up with the Marines there.
As tempting as that sounded, how could that possibly be on anyone's mind? The training was more vigorous, the atmosphere more strict. Who possibly has time to be horny and have their needs fulfilled sexually? Sorry, I got distracted for a minute!
