Announcements: Creme of Nature Loves Blaq Vixen Beauty

This past Friday, I received an email from Creme of Nature about their "I Love Creme of Nature" campaign. In addition to the original five bloggers (Patrice, Sunshyne, Renee, Leila, and Nadege) that Creme of Nature featured in their inaugural print ad, they have decided to add five more. And surprisingly, Blaq Vixen Beauty was one of the five bloggers selected.

To see "LaKish of Blaq Vixen Beauty" in their press release was honestly unbelievable to me. However, it something that I desperately needed to see since earlier that day I had received some devastating news. It was a bittersweet moment but I'm thankful yet again for another promising opportunity.

It may seem strange that I was selected since I haven't really written any detailed Beauty Closet product reviews on Creme of Nature. When I was checking my website stats, I noticed that someone was directed to my site from the press release. Almost immediately, they searched for Creme of Nature. I had to brace myself for any backlash that I might receive.

However, I have mentioned the Creme of Nature Professional Nourishing and Strengthening Treatment, their Detangling Conditioning Shampoo and the No-Lye Relaxer System with Organic Coconut and Sunflower Oils. I know I've tried their other products but I can't remember them at the moment. One of the questions that I've always receive is, 'What type of relaxer do you use on your hair?" More often than not I say, "Creme of Nature No-Lye Relaxer System with Organic Coconut and Sunflower Oils." Not only do I use but my mom and sister as well.

Creme of Nature just happens to be one of the brands that haven't been properly featured on Blaq Vixen Beauty. Of course, now that I'm in the "spotlight" for the brand, I'll definitely have to rectify that soon.

Also, please congratulate Kitiya, Amber, Felicia and Marcia as they were also chosen for the campaign. I'll be joining them along with the original bloggers on Creme of Nature's Facebook page.

Rip the Runway 2010: Tai Beauchamp + Body by Victoria + CoverGirl

Let's talk about makeup and bras. Honestly, the only other reason why I tuned in was for the beauty tips. I wasn't expecting to see Tai Beauchamp (@taibeau) talking about Body by Victoria but I'm glad that she did. It was one of the highlights of the show. She reminds us why Body of Victoria should be a staple in our wardrobe:

Speaking of CoverGirl, they have a new LashBlast mascara titled LashBlast Fusion. Instead of delivering just length (like CoverGirl LashBlast Length) or just volume (like CoverGirl LashBlast), it delivers both. CoverGirl Global Creative Design Director Pat McGrath previewed LashBlast Fusion backstage at the Anna Sui show at F/W 2010 NYFW.
