How to Get Amber Riley's Makeup Look at the 2011 Grammys

Amber Riley at the 2011 Grammys, Makeup Also by Mylah MoralesMylah Morales was one busy lady! In addition to Monica, Morales also glammed up Amber Riley for the 2011 Grammys. This is our third beauty breakdown for the Glee goddess and we have always been impressed by how Morales keeps her looking fab. Tonight was no exception. "Amber went for an edgy rock-and-roll look for the 2011 Grammys. I was inspired by the silver and gold of her dress and jewelry so I smoked out her eyes, taking a cue from those shades."

How to Get Monica's Makeup Look at the 2011 Grammys

Monica at the 2011 Grammys, Makeup by Mylah Morales"I was inspired by Monica's sleek dress and wanted to create a sophisticated, sulty look."

-Celebrity makeup artist Mylah Morales

Monica and celebrity makeup artist Mylah Morales team up again for the 2011 Grammys. I noticed that Morales used the CoverGirl Queel Collection Natural Hue Minerals Bronzer and CoverGirl ShineBlast Lip Gloss in Gleam for Monica's Grammy look. She also used these same products for Monica's 2010 BET Awards makeup look.

face. "I started with black|Up Matifying Base to prep Monica's skin and then used CoverGirl Queen Collection Natural Hue Concealer (review coming soon!) and CoverGirl Queen Collection Natural Hue Compact Foundation for a flawless finish." To contour, Morales used my favorite bronzer, CoverGirl Queen Collection Natural Hue Minerals Bronzer. She says that "bronzer is her everything."

eyes. "I kept Monica's eyes matte black and used CoverGirl Liquiline Blast in Black Fire for definition." To keep Monica's lashes full, she pulled out CoverGirl LashBlast Volume Mascara in Very Black.

lips. For that pinky nude lip, South Beach Sand from the new CoverGirl Queen Lip Collection was used. Morales layered CoverGirl ShineBlast Lip Gloss in Gleam over it as a finishing touch.

Vixen, Validated: How to Get Amber Riley's Makeup Look from the 68th Golden Globes

Amber Riley at the Golden Globes
I always think it's a cause for celebration when you find that perfect, no fail makeup look that you can virtually wear to any event and still look stunning. Fortunately, this is the case for Glee star Amber Riley. We've seen this smoky, silver eye and nude, glossy lip combination from her before but it works so well, right?

It just so happened that I was chatting with my mom about how wonderful Amber Riley looked at the 2011 Golden Globes when I received her a beauty breakdown of her look! Created by celebrity makeup artist Mylah Morales, it was achieved by using a combination of CoverGirl and black|up Cosmetics:

face. To prep the skin, I used a hydrating serum and black|Up Matifying Base to make sure her look lasted all night. Then I used CoverGirl NatureLuxe Silk Foundation in Brazilnut to give her a polished look with a flawless finish.

eyes. Since Amber wore a sparkly dress, I created a smoky eye to compliment and bring out her eyes.  I used COVERGIRL Smoky ShadowBlast in Onyx Smoke. I covered her entire lid with the rounded, silver end and then highlighted the crease with the pointed, black end. To complete her eye look, I used CoverGirl Liquiline Blast in Black Fire

cheeks. I added a pop of color with an apricot and then CoverGirl Queen Collection Natural Hue Bronzer in Ebony Bronze to highlight her cheekbones.

lips. To finish the look and offset Amber's eyes, I created a nude lip by using CoverGirl Queen Collection Lip Color in Nude Attitude (new) - it gave her a rich color and kept her lips moisturized all night.
