The Vanity: Kimora Lee Simmons Named President and Creative Director of JustFab.com

Kimora Lee Simmons for Just FabulousWWD---Fashion mogul Kimora Lee Simmons has a new position: president and creative director of JustFab.com, a division of Intelligent Beauty. Yesterday the brand posted a sneak peek about this new partnership on their Facebook page. "We have a secret...someone FABULOUS is coming to JustFabulous! Can you guess who? Clue: Fashion is her life!" they exclaimed. Not surprisingly, many fans enthusiastically guessed Kimora Lee Simmons.

Kimora Lee Simmons for JustFabulousThe collaboration comes as no surprise as this position was created specifically for her since the California-based company debuted in March 2010. "I can’t even remember my official first day in the office, but I feel like this has been months in the making...we [she and Intelligent Beauty co-founders Adam Goldenberg and Don Ressler] have been talking about this for a very long time,” says Simmons.

JustFab.com's Jewelry LineBesides expanding to include costumer jewelry in October, other plans for JustFab include adding lifestyle wares--"from work to home to kids," Simmons revealed.

“My fans know that I’m real and that they can reach me anytime. I want the JustFab community to know that too. That’s really me giving fashion tips, talking to them in the ads, answering their questions, wearing the product," said Simmons of the seemingly endless stream of newly produced content that will make its debut on the site this month. “But that’s what I love about this new world of social commerce. It’s constantly changing and you have to keep up.”

Promotions: Christian Siriano for Victoria's Secret

Talking about Christian Siriano's makeup line for Victoria's Secret feels a bit like coming home, since my review on their Beauty Rush Lip Glosses was one of the first few posts I published here on Blaq Vixen Beauty. Then, this past Monday, while waiting at the Clinique counter, I found myself checking out the newest Victoria's Secret additions. I read the Victoria's Secret fashion show (VSFS 09) is taking place in New York the first time in four years today. I wonder if we'll see Neomie Lenoir, Sessilee Lopez, and Emanuela de Paula at the show this year? Your thoughts?

What's your secret?

Vixen, Validated: How to Get Kimora Lee Simmons' Hair in the April/May 2010 Issue of Los Angeles Confidential Magazine

I'd like to think that the reason why Kimora Lee Simmons looks so off on the April/May 2010 issue of Los Angeles Confidential Magazine is because someone went a little too PhotoShop-happy. I may be blatantly wrong but her cheekbones almost overwhelm her face. In my opinion, Kimora is a gorgeous woman. I'll always appreciate the fact that she introduced fabulosity to the masses. Makeup by celebrity makeup artist Christopher Michael, who is also Kimora's makeup artist on her show, Life in the Fab Lane. Manicure by Jenna Hipp.

Celebrity hairstylist Marcia Hamilton created soft, romantic waves by using White Sands and IT&LY Hairfashion products. The hair looks Absolutely Phabulous:

>>Start out by spraying a volumizer from foot to ends, then brush product evenly throughout the hair.

>>Take small sections of hair, starting from the bottom of the head. Blow dry each section using a medium round bristle brush.

>>Next set the hair with using the 1.33 Inch White Sands Curling Iron. Pin each curl at the base then spray with a medium hold thermal hairspray for added hold and shine. Let the curls sit for a few minutes.

>>Unpin the curls then brush out while head is suspended upside down. This position creates added volume at the root.

>>Flip head back and shake the curls into place for a soft tussled look. Finish with a light mist of IT&LY Hairfashion Pure Definition Hairspray.

Kimora, Estelle, Raven-Symone, Robin and Jordin Represent at the Heart Truth Red Dress Collection 2010 Fashion Show

I'm really happy to see there are more women of color at this year's Heart Truth Red Dress Collection Fashion Show. As you already know (hopefully), the red dress is the national symbol for women and heart disease awareness. Every year, The Heart Truth campaign holds a fashion show at Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week. Celebrities that participate wear red dresses designed specifically for the event.
