Jennifer Hudson’s Exact Polish: China Glaze Grape Pop

Jennifer Hudson Pops on the April Issue of Essence Magazine

Last month, I had the pleasure of being invited to partake in a survey from Essence Insiders. Here were the two proposed April 2011 covers with the fabulous Jennifer Hudson. I had to choose which cover appealed to me the most:

Hands down, I think the cover on the right is the best one (this is the cover that’s on newsstands now). The fuchsia blouse and skinny jeans help accentuate Hudson’s curvy but svelte figure better than the  sheath she is wearing in the left cover (the subscriber’s cover). Thanks to celebrity manicurist Cenita Scott, the Oscar and Grammy powerhouse wore China Glaze Nail Lacquer in Grape Pop, a flattering, deep gray purple with red undertones.

This shade is from the Spring 2010 Up & Away Collection. Not only did this hue flatter Ms. Hudson’s skin tone, but it will flatter yours as well. Scott topped the rich shade with a coat of China Glaze Fast Forward Top Coat for a quick, dry and glassy finish.
