Like her shameless (but liberating) custom Swarovski gown and matching crystal doorag for the 2014 CFDA Fashion Awards, Rihanna’s makeup was just as hypnotic. And now, thanks to Mylah’s assistant stealing her phone, I have all the details! “My inspiration for Rihanna’s look was her dress and her head wrap,” Morales said. “The minute I saw them, I knew immediately what I was going to do. I texted her [Rihanna] and said, ‘Give me your face. I can’t wait to create!'” According to Eremenk.com, the Adam Selman creation boasted 230,000 Swarovski crystals.
Rihanna’s CFDA Makeup: Keri Lotion
The order of the night was sultry smokey eyes and an irresistible nude mouth. Mylah used mainly all MAC Cosmetics with a dash of Koh Gen Do. In a previous Rihanna Color Story, I recommended Prtty Peashun Skin Tight Body Lotion in Deep Dark to get her glowing skin. However, Morales used Keri Daily Dry Skin Therapy Lotion in Original as a base and dusted the skin with shimmering body powder. Image courtesy of Glamour.com.
Rihanna’s CFDA Makeup: Koh Gen Do and MAC Cosmetics
She first prepped Rihanna’s skin with Koh Gen Do Oriental Plants Emollient Cream. MAC Demi Wipes Cleansing Towelettes were also a part of this show stopping look. Morales didn’t mention any foundation but she did contour with MAC Bronzer in Golden Bronze and set everything with MAC Loose Powder in Deep Peach. Image courtesy of Bellasugar.com.
For the eye makeup, Morales relied on the RiRi Hearts MAC Holiday Eyeshadow Palette, MAC Lashes in #35, MAC Eye Kohl in Smolder and MAC Studio Finish SPF 35 Concealer. Image courtesy of Huffington Post.
Mylah outlined Rihanna’s mouth with MAC Lip Liner in Spice (which is one of my favorite lip liners). Next, Mylah mixed two lipstick shades – Mehr and Myth – to custom-blend the perfect nude for the celebrated songstress. Image courtesy of Huffington Post.
Rihanna’s CFDA Makeup: OPI, Sparitual and LCN Professional
Willing to share her part in this historic night, celebrity nail tech Maria Salandra enthusiastically shared that she used a host of delicious nail goodies on Rihanna to include OPI Nail Lacquer in Don’t Bossa Nova Me Around, Sparitual Handprint Hand Salve, and LCN High Shine Finish Cleansing Wipes. These black cherry-scented wipes removes any remaining gel residue and are gentle on the nails. Image courtesy of Eremenk.com.
