So I've been feeling a bit like Eva Marcille in regards to my shopping habits lately. For the most part, I've been splurging as my spring/summer makeup collection was lacking and I'm still not done! However, for now, I'll share some of the products that I finally bought along with my thoughts.
I'm officially a NARSissist!

Can I just say that I cannot wait until my two classes are over? I have a massive headache so I decided to rest a bit by sharing what I bought this past weekend (not pictured: Kiss Lashes with Application Strings; Essie Nail Polish in Beach Bum Blu):
I think out of everything I purchased, I was really excited to buy the CoverGirl LipPerfection Lipsticks in Divine and Spellbound (from the Fort Lewis Exchange):
I was inspired by Danielle's post "Weekend Makeup Idea: Purple Lipstick" over at the Fashion Bomb. I bought Revlon's Berry Haute last year and was wearing that on a fairly regular basis but decided it was time to try out some new purple shades. When I saw that she recommended CoverGirl LipPerfection Lipstick in Divine. I immediately went out and grabbed this shade. Do you know that I have yet to see any of the new CoverGirl Queen Collection Lip Colors in stores? I couldn't even find any of the old shades (I really wanted to pick up Ruby Remix). I couldn't even find them in clearance! I guess if you're having the same problem, you would have to buy them from drugstore.com.
Anyway, here's what Divine looks like on my lips - I like how it is moisturizing and cream and how I don't have to apply my EOS Lip Balm as a primer:
I just love purple lipsticks now - I count Divine as one of my top five of all time. From this picture, it seems like Divine is a dupe for MAC's Up the Amp Lipstick. Revlon's Berry Haute is also a dupe. Yet, out of the three, Divine is the only one with silk therapy that helps to improve the condition of your lips. I told myself back in January that my signature look would be a purple lip with a cat eye. Still working on the cat eye but now I have two purple lipsticks to choose from! I cannot wait to to see how it will look with NARS Downtown Lip Gloss!
Here's how Spellbound looks on my lips as well:
This picture definitely doesn't do Spellbound justice. It's an intense hot pink that reminds me of what MAC's Girl About Town might look like (Spellbound is darker in person). I wear this shade in heavy rotation as well.
I think the best feature about both of these lipsticks is the fact that they leave a nice stain behind after three hours of wear. At that point, you can either reapply the shade or follow up with lip gloss. I also like that lipliner is not necessary - these lipsticks don't feather in the corners or outside my lip line.
Have you tried any of the new CoverGirl LipPerfection shades? Any shades I just have to buy next time?

Yesterday, another major thing took place that I'm really excited to share. I finally visited McChord AFB's Exchange - my mom wanted to buy her MacBook - and there I discovered their Beauty Bar. This was the first time I ever saw such prestige beauty brands such as NARS Cosmetics, Smashbox, Too Faced, Strivectin, and Clarisonic at any military base before. The Beauty Bars "include innovative brands of prestige cosmetics to meet the needs of young women 18-28 and women with darker skin tones." I wish they had a contract with MAC or even MAKE UP FOR EVER though. I noticed Shiseido among the brands too.

I'm not even going to lie - I spent my last $20 on food. I was planning to spend it on the Pink Friday 4 Lipstick but I had to get real for a minute. I know for a fact that it's just not going to flatter my NW40 skin and I'm sure Nicki is not even the same MAC shade (or is that even a possibility?). Not only that, it would require me to buy a lip liner or a lip gloss in order for it to look flattering. I think I've made a fool out of myself enough in this beauty blogging business! Besides, food trumps makeup like 90% of the time for me.
She ain't got no money in the bank...

From left: Borghese Nail Lacquer Mini Kit in Serena and Borghese Nail Lacquer Mini Kit in Allegra.
I bought these mini nail kits months ago but just remembered that I haven't featured them on the blog yet. This isn't a review - just a post showing you two of the products that I bought this year. The nail lacquers in these sets don't have an official name posted anywhere - not even a description.

Thanks to Rai from Glam-Morena, I made my first Hautelook purchase on April 27th. It was shipped out May 4th and I received it on May 7th. I decided to buy some Lorac Cheek Stamps. Each of these stamps were $3.99. I purchased four:

Out of the above picture, I bought the Smashbox Lip Enhancing Gloss (Full Color) in Flash, the Smashbox Lip Enhancing Gloss (Sheer Color) in Red Rock, the Pop Beauty Cheeky Cake in Beach Babe and Pop Beauty Blush Cake in Natural in Nudes. This is my first time I've bought anything from these brands. So proud of myself for expanding my makeup collection!
The Yves Saint Laurent "Tuxedo Collection" Radiant Highlighter Palette and Smashbox Untamed High Lights Cheek Luminizer in Aglow was sent for editorial consideration from BeautyTicket, shortly after the People's Choice Awards.
Which one should I do a review on or feature in an article soon?

Editor's note: This post will be updated accordingly. Thanks for your patience.
Completely inspired by Danielle of The Style and Beauty Doctor, I decided to do a short post on what I bought this past weekend at a few of my favorite haunts---Burlington Coat Factory, AAFES (or the PX) and Sally Hansen. I didn't really buy anything that would be considered "brand spanking new" but I did pick up one of the newest beauty products to hit the market recently.
Better yet a customer, guaranteed to buy it...

The Coach Soho Pleated Leather Tote, which is on sale at BagBorroworSteal (click me for membership, a rental or to purchase bags from the BBOS Private Sale) for $295.
Let me start off by saying that my mother is an enabler - she's the one that introduced me to Coach in the first place. The first Coach purse I ever bought was not for me, but for her. It was the least I can do for her, right? Today, at the Coach Outlet in San Marcos, she persuaded me to buy not only this purse but a wallet to match as well. I didn't plan to buy a wallet (I usually don't buy matching wallets with my purses but I should) since I already bought my Fall clutch but I broke down and bought my the Coach Turnlock Medium Leather Wallet, my first Coach wallet ever.
All together, I spent $240.75: The retail price of the Coach Soho Pleated Leather Tote is $358 but at the outlet, it is $199. I had a 20% off coupon that I received at the door (also, you can get exclusive savings, downloadable coupons, information about exciting events and more when you sign up for the Prime Outlets Email List) which brought the tote down to $159. The retail price of the Coach Turnlock Medium Leather Wallet is $118 but the outlet price is $79. Take another 20% off that and I bought it for $63.20. Sales tax was $18.35 (8.25%).
Do you live near a Coach outlet? If so, how often do you indulge in a new Coach bag? This is my third one.

Now that Operation Palette Pusher is on the backburner (for now), I figured I would instead focus on one of the newest editions to my blush collection: Fashion Fair Beauty Blush in Golden Sunset (regular price is $17 for 0.13 oz but I bought it for $13.50 at the PX here on Fort Sam Houston). Unfortunately, I wouldn't dare wear it now with my skin issues but I always remind myself that one day, I will. But for this post, I decided to swatch it on my cheek.
