Promotions: The 2010 Zoya Nail Polish Exchange (Ended)

Editor's note: The 2011 Zoya Nail Polish Exchange has not been announced just yet....

This promotion from Zoya came just in time! I noticed that I had a few bottles of nail polish on my dresser that I hadn't used in a while. Guess what I'm doing with them? I'm trading them in for fashion-forward shades from Zoya! And you can too if you're in the same predicament!

Kicking off tomorrow (April 22) on Earth Day at 12 PM EST, Zoya Nail Polish will exchange your old (or new), unwanted nail colors for fresh, fashion-forward Zoya lacquers. You can send is six bottles (or more) of any brand other than Zoya, Qtica or Nocti and Zoya will send you the colors of your choice. I personally have my eyes on the Zoya Ultraglitter and MatteVelvet Winter collections since I missed out on them the first time around.

Shipping and handling is $3.50 per bottle. This promotion ends on June 2010. Please make sure to send your nail polish with the required shipping, processing fees and documentation to have the old color disposed of according to EPA guidelines and to qualify for NEW Zoya Nail Polish at no charge. Shipping and processing fees required for exchange. Restrictions apply.  This offer is only available online and is void in the continental US only.

Agrarian Woman: Tina's Pleasures

Editor's note: The products mentioned in this article were sent for editorial consideration.

Picture of Tina's Pleasures products. Shown is the All Natural Body Butter, All Natural Daily Scrub, All Natural Shower Gel, All Natural Body Lotion and All Natural Lip Balm.

In honor of Earth Day (this Thursday, Aprill 22), I've created my "Agrarian Woman" series, which details organic/natural brands that I've had the chance to either sample or buy. First up is Tina's Pleasures from Tina Ison. Thanks to Ninapilar of Sky Sister Studio, I sampled the All Natural Body Butter, the All Natural Daily Scrub and the All Natural Lip Balm. In addition to these products, Ms. Ison also sells bath salts, the All Natural Body Lotion, All Natural Shower Gel and organic soap bars (available in small or large).

Easily, the star product of this organic line is the All Natural Body Butter. This actually surprised me because I thought my favorite product would be the All Natural Daily Scrub. But if I had to choose just one product to repurchase again, it would definitely be this product. It's a rich, smooth and silky treat for the body. Sold in either whipped or firm, I think Ms. Ison should sell a lite version for the summer.

You know how Bliss have a lite version of their Bliss Lemon + Sage Body Butter? I think the same concept could work for the All Natural Body Butter. However, the original version could work as a foot/hand treatment. It heals cracked, ashy hands and feet.

Next is the All Natural Body Scrub. Can you believe this product actually triggered a childhood memory? The scrub looks like a combination of oatmeal and brown sugar. It smelled so good that I was tempted to scarf it down. As idiotic as that sounds, I found it to be gentle enough to use on the face as well. The only drawback is that it's a pain to clean up! Whatever was left from the scrub (that didn't dissolve with water) became trapped in the crevices of my shower mat. After using this scrub, I would just throw the mat in the washer.

Lastly, there's the All Natural Lip Balm. I love that the lip balm didn't leave a greasy/oily film on the lips. The finish was mostly matte with a hint of subtle shine. When my brother asked me to lend him some lip balm for his cracked and peeling lips, I handed him this lip balm. Not surprisingly, my brother appreciated that it was unscented but still kept his lips supple, soothed and moisturized.

At the present time, each product is sold in a two pack: the body butter retails for $20, the body scrub also is $20 and the lip balm is $5.

Have you tried Tina's Pleasures before? If so, what was your impression about this organic beauty brand?

The Vanity: Try the Metallic Lipstick Trend with FSL Cosmetics' Lipstick in Chocolate Kiss

Editor's note: The product mentioned in this article was sent for editorial consideration.

Metallic Orange Lips on Brown SkinLuscious lips are coated with chrome this season---the magnificent metallic mouth trend is one to try! However, don't shy away---simply find the right gleam for your brown skin.

According to Urban Darling beauty stylist Fanny Woo, medium brown and cocoa-complexioned skin types look best with mocha-chocolate and wine-colored metallics.

One cosmetic brand capitalizing on this heavy metal trend is eco-friendly FSL Cosmetics, marketed to the "mature, modern woman on-the-go." Created by chemist Kimberly Riley, these hypoallergenic lipsticks, which "feel good, smell good and look good" are loaded with vitamins, antioxidants, cupuacu butter, avocado oil and acai extract to beautify the lips. For Our Consideration: The Scandle Body Candle in Fig and Brown Sugar

Recently, I was sent this unique candle for editorial consideration. Based on the video on the website, I'm totally convinced that this product would be popular for couples. Sure, if you're flying solo this summer, you could use it as a regular candle than use it as a cuticle treatment to keep your manicure and pedicure looking fresh. When it melts, you can use it the way it was marketed: as a body massage lotion. Each candle comes with a small container of dead sea salt soak and scrub which coordinates with the fragrance that you chose. I haven't used it yet but a proper review is in the works!

The Beauty Closet: Dashing Diva Nail Colors in Manhattanite, Water Taxi and After Party Photos, Reviews and Swatches

Editor's note: The products mentioned in this review were sent for editorial consideration.

About a week ago, I received a press release about Dashing Diva's new Spring shades, which are a part of their Manhattan Collection:

[Cosmopolitan] A ultra-sheer, almost-clear, pink nude (used by designers Akiko Ogawa, Tony Cohen and DVF for Amex shows during fashion week).

[Ballet Flats] A creamy pastel, coral soft shimmer.

[I Need a Cocktail] A soft and sheer lavender frost.

[East River View] A soft sheer peach nude.

[Strawberry Fields] A soft, sheer nude pink.

[After Party] A fuschia dark pink crème.

[NYPD Blue] A bright, shocking blue crème shade.

[New York Slice] A bright tomato red crème.

Dashing Diva  was so kind to send over Manhattanite, Water Taxi and After Party for editorial consideration as I received them today. Before I swatched each shade, I made sure to apply VB Cosmetics Cuticle Oil with Shea Butter and for a base, I used Seche Clear Crystal Clear Base Coat.

You make me want to swatch...throw my hands up and swatch...
