Updated: 21 July 2016

This compilation of black-owned highlighters for brown skin tones has been in draft for a spell. At first, I wanted to showcase popular highlighters that looked beyond on brown and dark skin tones. If you follow any makeup Instagram accounts, then you know luminizers are, well, lit (pun intended).

Inspired, I decided to do a quick list identifying highlighters from black-owned businesses. Every one featured is on my shopping list. But our fellow entrepreneurs are launching new beauty businesses everyday. It’s only a matter of time before I can provide a more impressive list of glow-getters.

Staying faithful to my focus of black celebrity beauty, I have also included celebrities. These beauties are modeling glistening cheekbones on Instagram, at various events and at photoshoots. By the end of 2016, I hope to have more products for your consideration. I really light up when I see black celebrity women supporting black-owned businesses!

But for now, see how your celebrity skin twin glows up while supporting black. This list is organized by price so you can support within your price range/budget:
