Beyoncé eponymous fifth album has inspired so many people since it dropped, without warning, on iTunes. Even though this is not the first visual album she’s done (B’Day anyone?), she is possibly the first major artist to go the non-promotion route and be successful.
After reading stylist Lysa Cooper’s interview with Pret-a-Reporter, I thought I’d post a comprehensive recap about all the brands we saw in the video. I’ve also included options if you wanted to get the “Drunk In Love” look for less, along with my own personal discount code.
Cooper says “out of the five music videos [I] helped style, Drunk In Love, featuring Jay-Z, was [my] favorite.” She also divulged that Beyoncé looked “banging” in a vintage Eres bathing suit (which Cooper says she pulled from her personal stash) worn under a Spring/Summer (SS) ’14 Wendy Nichol French Tulle Aquarius Dress.
However, Who What Wear reported that Beyoncé showed off her sensuous figure in a One Teaspoons’ Black Lion Bralette. She wore them with the matching bottoms.
Beyoncé completed her moonlight beach frolic in a Bliss Lau Black Onyx Body Chain (now called the Dark Lady Rose Gold Body Chain; bottom left). It’s rose gold with black onyx detailing. Etsy shop FDLM has their $185.77 Black Onyx Body Chain with 14k gold filling:
Beyoncé’s necklace is the gold Carrie Hoffman Pave T Bar necklace (bottom right).
Peep the close up in this photo from Beyonce HQ, where you can clearly see the Pave T Bar necklace slightly tangled with the Dark Lady Rose Gold Body Chain:
Beyoncé wore a few other Bliss Lau pieces, including their gunmetal Chrysler Bracelet and Ring and their sterling silver Bridge Ring, which is also sold in gold. If you hate sterling silver like me, they also have 14K Rose Gold and 14K Yellow Gold. A stack of Jennifer Fisher Jewelry gold cuffs completed her ensemble, specifically their Brass Triangular Block Cuff and Brass Square Block Cuff, along with a Jennifer Fisher Brass Pierced Ring.
As for her nails, celebrity manicurist Lisa Logan confirmed on Instagram that Bey wore Minx for the organic music video. She explained to Nail It! Mag, “The motif of Beyoncé’s ‘Drunk in Love’ video is black and white, which makes any regular nail polish translate as just dark or light. The metallic of Minx is reflective so it has impact. Minx is a fun way to get a unique metallic look with a nice finish that you can’t get from any bottle or gel. With the limited time we have on set, Minx is the perfect choice because application is simple and there’s no drying time.”
