Doja Cat Skin Care & Makeup
Doja Cat Skin Care Prep for the 2022 Billboard Awards Prepping the skin is essential for a glowing complexion. I used my favorite The Ordinary and DECIEM products to create a well hydrated and healthy complexion as a base for my makeup. I first cleansed Doja’s skin using the Squalane Cleanser. I then flooded the skin with a combination of Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% and Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5. As the final step to my skin prep, I applied a generous layer of Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA. –Celebrity makeup artist Ernesto Casillas

Blaq Vixen Beauty Reviews DNA EGF Renewal Skin Care
T H E || B A C K S T O R Y As you might imagine, winterizing acne-scarred and hyperpigmented skin is challenging. After many trials – which all failed unfortunately – I decided to stick to the basics: cleanser, toner, moisturizer and sunscreen. My skin regimen doesn’t even include serums, eye creams nor a night treatment! I’ve been so hesitant about adding new products to my regimen as I felt the simpler my regimen, the less likely I would cause more damage to my skin. Yet, my inner turmoil with my skin did not prevent me from testing out three products from the DNAEGF Renewal skin care line –…

Urban Beauty Legend: Gabrielle’s Skin Care Line
I was initially confused when I read Gabrielle Union was launching a new skin care line for women of color on Twitter. Union has been a Neutrogena spokesperson since 2004. Among the many commercials she’s done for Neutrogena, her Visibly Even commercial stands out because I thought it was specifically geared toward women of color. Just now, I logged on the website and noticed that the only product available for the Visibly Even line is the Daily Moisturizer SPF 30. Is the Visibly Even line being phased out to make room for this new collection exclusively for women of color? This might be the case! I also checked out the…

Skin Care Sundays: Ambi Love Times Three
The Ambi namesake is one of those brands that I’ve managed to “inherit” if that makes any sense. To help my combat my acne scarring and hyperpigmentation, my mom, (also a devout Ambi user) recommended that I try the Ambi Fade Cream, which boasts Vitamin E, Alpha Hydroxy Acid and sunscreen among its ingredients. I bet you any kind of money that if I were as consistent with my skin care as I am with writing and editing this blog, all of my dark spots would be faded nearly to nothing. The Ambi Fade Cream works; several small and medium spots have vanished right before my eyes. I am grateful…
