I was initially confused when I read Gabrielle Union was launching a new skin care line for women of color on Twitter. Union has been a Neutrogena spokesperson since 2004. Among the many commercials she’s done for Neutrogena, her Visibly Even commercial stands out because I thought it was specifically geared toward women of color. Just now, I logged on the website and noticed that the only product available for the Visibly Even line is the Daily Moisturizer SPF 30. Amber Riley Essence Magazine Makeup
Yesterday I finally picked up the March 2011 issue of Essence Magazine (with Angela Bassett on the cover). I was looking forward to a couple of features in this particular issue – the Essence 2011 Beauty Awards, Angela Bassett’s “Unstoppable” and of course, Amber Riley’s “She’s Every Woman” photoshoot. I shot celebrity makeup artist Saisha Beecham an email after she revealed that she did Riley’s makeup on Facebook.
